本周我们来学习开学相关的词汇
1. prospective /prə'spektɪv/
adj.有希望的；潜在的
搭配：prospective student 欲申请的学生
e.g. The school organized an open day to welcome prospective students and their families.
e.g. Many prospective students were impressed by the school's state-of-the-art science laboratories and library.
补充：state-of-the-art adj. 先进的
open day 校园开放日
2. tuition /tjuː'ɪʃ(ə)n/
n. 学费;
搭配：tuition fees 学费
one-to-one tuition 一对一学费
e.g. Some prospective students may qualify for scholarships that can reduce their tuition fees.
e.g. Many students rely on scholarships and grants to help cover their tuition costs.
其他费用补充：
grant n.资助；拨款
scholarship n. 奖学金
e.g. The school offers tuition reimbursement programs for employees who wish to further their education.
补充：reimbursement 补偿；报销
3. syllabus /'sɪləbəs/
n.课程大纲
搭配：学科+syllabus
include something on a syllabus 把…列入课纲
take something off a syllabus 把…移除课纲
e.g. e.g. Grammar exercises are included on the syllabus.
e.g. The history syllabus offers students the opportunity to study the major international events of the 20th century.
4. transcript /ˈtrænˌskrɪpt/
n.学生成绩单
e.g. The employer asked for an official transcript to verify his educational qualifications.
e.g. The transcript showed that he had consistently maintained a high GPA throughout his academic career.
e.g. If you want to transfer to another school, you need to submit your transcript along with your application.
